Facilities Services
 It is the mission of GCPS Facilities Services to provide a safe and secure environment for our children.

Facilities Services is responsible for the maintenance and operation of Our schools and several other buildings totaling nearly 1,000,000 square feet.


The Facilities office is responsible for day-to-day upkeep of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, security, carpentry, locksmithing, grounds keeping and painting.


The Facilities Services department is responsible for completing approximately 3,000 work orders per year, as well as overseeing the vast majority of the school division’s CIP projects.



 Grounds Department

  The mission of the Grounds Department is to provide a Safe,
  Attractive and Natural Environment in which to Learn, Work and Play.

 The Grounds Department :

  • Maintains and Monitors Equipment To Shutdown Excess Watering During Rainfall
  • Maintains School Campuses --  Including:
  •       Sixteen Athletic Fields
  •       One Hundred Three Flowerbeds
  •       Five Nature Trails
  •       Nineteen Individual Playgrounds at our Five Elementary Schools
  •       Approximately 453 Acres
   Other Projects Include:
